Saturday Detention
Saturday Detention is a consequence assigned to students throughout the school year. Saturday detention is held most Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Saturday detention is supervised by CMS staff members. 

Guidelines:
1. Assignment is made in conjunction with parent to provide consequence for student misbehaviors that can avoid removing the student from the classroom.
2. Assignments can be made in 1, 2, or 3 hours.
Saturday Detention runs from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
3. It is supervised by a teacher .
4. Students are expected to be working on academic assignments during the time they are scheduled to be present.
5. Students who are non-cooperative or do not show, are assigned another consequence (ISS or OSS)
6. Extenuating circumstances need to be cleared by the administrator who assigned the Saturday Detention.
7. Students assigned to Saturday Detention should be present by 8:55 am on the assigned Saturday morning. 
8. It is the parent's responsibility to transport the student to and from Saturday Detention. 
9. Tardiness to Saturday Detention is not tolerated.
10. Saturday Detention is an opportunity for a student to work quietly on academic assignments. They may ask questions for clarification by the Saturday Detention Teacher monitor.
